Oh neat! I'd love to do this someday, but my field glasses and bird books are still packed away. I don't even have any feeders up yet, lazy bint that I am. I'm not much of a dedicated bird watcher, really, more of a bird noticer. Still, we have lots of lovely species around here. The cliffs above my house are stained white with centuries of peregrine poop, and we regularly have wild turkeys and quail and bunches of raptors. Oh, and I spotted a green heron in the river driving home last night. Yay!
Well it seems you are ready to go. Notice and record what you can from where you are. This count is not as strenuous as others can be but still as important. . .and fun. You can do one day in one place for as little as 15 minutes of your time, or all three in a variety of sites for as long as you like. Just do it! :-D
